Ich möchte heirate. Ich habe einen Traum. Ich möchte eine wirklich große, bunte und stürmische Hochzeit. Lachen, Tanzen. Viele Gäste. Sehr viele Gäste! Ich wünsche mir, Ayurveda mit meinem Beruf als Frauenärztin zu vermählen. Wir drei passen doch so gut zusammen! Eine echte und fruchtbare Liebeshochzeit. Whow! Heimlich verlobt sind wir ja schon lange…

In meiner Praxis biete ich schon seit einer Weile Ernährungsberatungen an. Aber das reicht mir nicht. Ne! Es gibt ein paar gut ausgebildete Ayurvedatherapeuten in Deutschland, die auch Frauenheilkunde anbieten. Nur ein Kollege ist mir bekannt, der selbst Frauenarzt ist. Dr. Ludwig Kronpass. Hier möchte ich hospitieren!  Dr. Kronpass geht dieses Jahr in Rente… Was nun? Back to the roots!

Back to the roots bedeutet natürlich back to beautiful India… Tja…hätte schlimmer kommen können! An der BHU, der Benares Hindu University in Varanasi gibt es einen Lehrstuhl für vedische Frauenheilkunde und Geburtshilfe-  prasuti tantra und streetoga-vijnan. Ich schreibe also eine Mail an Frau Professor Dwivedi. Und bekomme keine Antwort. Da bleibt nur eins… am 06.02.2017 landet mein Flieger in Varanasi. Dann muss ich Frau Prof. Dwivedi wohl besuchen. Yeah! Das wird spannend. Eine Hochzeit ohne richtige Trauzeugin? No way! Ist ja ein Bund fürs Leben…

Aber ich habe Unterstützung. Ralph Steuernagel, mein Ayurvedacoach und selbst ein erfahrener Ayurvedatherapeut der lange Zeit in Indien unterwegs war, Ralph reagiert auf meine Idee mit einer Mine die mir zu verstehen gibt… klar! Würd ich genauso machen. Go, Alma, go! Kein gequältes Grinsen, kein Vogelzeig, just Ralph. Und ich bekomme noch eine weitere und sehr wertvolle Hilfe. Prof. Shivakumar Mishra. Er war mehrere Jahre Dekan an der BHU und einer meiner Dozenten in Birstein an der Europäischen Akademie für Ayurveda… dank Facebook haben wir uns nicht ganz aus den Augen verloren. Er kennt Prof. Dwivedi und hat bereits versucht, Kontakt aufzunehmen…

I have this strong desire to get married. I have a dream. I feel for a real huge, colorful and stormy wedding. Laughing, dancing. Lots of guests. Even more guests! My dream is a marriage of Ayurveda and my profession als being a Gynecologist. The three of us make such a good couple! A real and fertile love affair. Whow! We have already had an undercover engagement for a long time now…

I already offer consultations of ayurvedic nutrition in my private practice. But this doesn`t seem enough. No way! There are some very well educated ayurvedic specialists in Germany offering Gynecology and Obstertrics. But I only know one being a Gynecologist himself. Dr. Ludwig Kronpass. This is the place I want to get some lectures at. But Dr. Kronpass is retiring this year… So. What to do next? Back to the roots!

Back to the roots meaning back to beautiful India. It could have been worse! There is a professorship of Ayurvedic Gynecology and Obstetrics (prasuti tantra and streeroga-vijnan)  at the BHU- the Benares Hindu University in Varanasi. Therefore I write an email to Prof. Dwivedi. And do not get any kind of response. So there is only one thing to do for me… I am going to land in Varanasi on February 6th 2017, seeing Prof. Dwivedi for a visit. Yeah! This is going to be thrilling. A marriage without a witness? No way! We are talking about a lifetime bondage…

But I have supporters. Ralph Steuernagel, my ayurvedic coach and himself a highly experienced therapist after spending a long time in India, Ralph reacts on my idea with an unspoken expression of complete understanding and some „I would do it the same way“ kind of thing.  Go Alma, go! No tantalised smile, no „she is nuts“-signs, just Ralph. And there is another and very precious helping hand. Prof. Shivakumar Mishra. He himself has been dean of the BHU and one of my teachers at the European Academy of Ayurveda in Birstein, Germany… thanx to Facebook we kept contact. He knows Prof. Dwivedi and already tried to contact her…
